Bio Metric Scanner
The Saeco Xelsis Digital ID features a fingerprint scanner that can identify each user automatically and load their drink preferences.

Construction
Made of high end materials such as stainless steel and chrome, the Saeco Xelsis possesses both a strong build for long lasting performance and an elegant look to match any modern kitchen décor. The machine measures 11"Wx14.5"Dx16.5"H and weighs 37.5 lbs.  The Digital ID version has a polished stainless steel finish.

Touch Screen Controls
The illuminated touch-panel of the machine is both easy-to-read and intuitive. The controls have one-touch functionality and icon-based displays allow for simple beverage selection. With Xelsis, it’s possible to create 6 user profiles of 6 drinks each. Its 36 unique customizable beverage settings are activated with the simple touch of an icon.

Saeco Brewing System (SBS)
The Saeco Xelsis has a distinctively designed dial on the front side that lets you adjust the intensity and consistency of coffee. The dial can be adjusted for precise increments between strong, medium and mild. Users can change the intensity before or during the brewing process.

Dual Boiler
The Saeco Xelsis has 2 boilers, 1 for brewing and 1 for steaming. A 2-boiler system lets you go right from brewing to steaming with no down time, so you can make cappuccinos, lattes, and other milk drinks instantly.

Milk Frothing Carafe
The machine includes a special milk carafe (capacity 50 oz) to whip the milk for your desired beverage. The milk carafe with a built-in cappuccinatore hooks directly to the front of the machine and automatically froths milk straight into your mug. You can remove the milk container and store it in the refrigerator for your convenience. Users can also manually steam milk using the steam wand/hot water dispenser. The milk circuit is completely separate from the rest of the machine so that no milk operations involve the internal machine circuits. It results in quick and easy cleaning. An automated steam-cleaning cycle keeps the machine perfectly clean.

Ceramic Burr Grinder
The Xelsis is equipped with an integrated heavy-duty ceramic burr grinder for consistent grind. Using ceramic for the grinder burrs gives you long lasting qualities and quieter operation than the usual metal burrs that are normally used.  Another advantage of ceramic burr is that ceramic does not heat up like metal burrs do.  So your burrs do not get glazed with ground coffee in the same way that metal burrs can. The grinder has an automatic shut-off feature and the grind fineness can be easily set by the user.

Saeco Aroma System
The Saeco Aroma System pre-wets your coffee grounds to ensure the best possible coffee extraction. This feature can be turned on or off, or lengthened according to your taste.

OptiDose
Adjustable 7-10.5 gram doser regulates the amount of beans to grind per serving. Now you can get the perfect strength in the coffee cup size of your choice.

Bypass Doser
If you prefer another kind of bean to what is in the bean hopper, in that case the bypass doser is a great option. It allows you to pour in any kind of ground coffee and brew using that instead of what is in the bean hopper.

Bean Hopper
Its removable coffee bean hopper keeps 12 ounces of beans fresh and ready for grinding, protecting them from light and air with an airtight silicon seal and an anti-UV cover.

Water Reservoir and Intenza Water Filter
The machine has a removable large capacity 54 oz water reservoir that can be easily removed for fast refilling and cleaning. The Xelsis also includes Intenza water filter that eliminates micro-particles and impurities found in regular tap water. It reduces the number of flavor-altering substances, thereby preserving the flavor and aroma of your coffee.

Cup Warmer
Espresso tastes its best when it is brewed into a pre-heated cup – this preserves the temperature and the crema. The machine features an active cup warming surface, so you will always have hot cups ready to brew into.

Powerful Pump System   
This machine features a powerful pump rated at 15 BAR of pressure to pull maximum flavor from the coffee beans.

Energy Safe
It also gives you the option to use the Energy Saver. If the Saeco Xelsis sits idle for an hour, energy safe mode is automatically activated to save money and resources.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Users can access the brew group from the front. It is removable for easy clean up and maintenance. You can detach the brew group as well as grounds container without disturbing the milk carafe or drip tray.
