Digital Screen and Press Buttons
Easy to access digital screen and press buttons make Macap M4 Digital easy to use. The screen is located directly above the coffee dispensing chute and above the screen is a silver button to enter into programming mode. Below the coffee dispensing chute is a red button. This button is positioned so that when you rest your portafilter in the portafilter holder you can push the button with the portafilter to begin grinding.

Programming
To activate programming mode, press and hold the silver button of Macap M4 for 10 seconds. Now spin the silver button to reach the settings for a single shot, double shot, or continuous grinding, and press the silver button to enter into your preferred setting. Spin the silver button again to find your preferred coffee dosage in .1 second intervals and press the silver button to save the new grinding time and to go back to the menu. Spin the silver button until you reach “exit,” then press the silver button to exit out of programming mode. Dosage is programmed based on the number of seconds of grinding rather than entering a weight (grams or ounces) to grind.

Grinding
After selecting your preferences, place the portafilter in the handle and press it against the red button to begin grinding for a single shot. For a double shot or continuous grinding, enter into the programming mode and turn the silver button to the double shot or continuous grinding setting, then press the red button.

Adjustable Grind Settings
The stepless grind settings are extremely simple. When the machine is grinding, you can turn the grinding ring smoothly to a finer or coarser setting using your both hands. No lever is needed to change the grind settings.

Cleaning
All removable parts of the Macap M4 Digital Burr Grinder can be hand washed in warm, soapy water. The body of the machine can be wiped down with a damp cloth. Make sure to unplug the Macap M4 Digital before cleaning.
