By shortening the internal coffee flow from boiler to spout in, the final coffee temperature is increased and improved crema is delivered. The result is the best possible pressure brewed coffee. Brewing process also utilizes a 2 step pre-infusion process for maximum flavor and aroma. The J5 can be set to 2 different coffee brewing temperatures.

Stainless Steel ThermoBlock
At the heart of the Jura Impressa J5 is a stainless steel-lined ThermoBlock boiler. Unlike a traditional boiler, thermoblocks offer rapid warm-up times paired with efficient, on-demand water usage. Turn on the Jura Impressa J5 , and it will be ready to brew in just a few moments. ThermoBlock technology channels the water through the heating element while minimizing the amount of water heated to what the Jura Impressa J5's user demands. This process ensures water does not become stale sitting in a boiler for an extended period of time.
Innovations Abound
The Impressa J5 comes equipped as you would expect--loaded with features. We will name only a few, as the list is very long. An auto-sensing bypass doser for pre-ground coffee provides the user a hassle-free method to quickly change to a different flavor or decaffeinated. The Jura Impressa J5  automatically rinses itself upon start-up to prevent that dreaded cold first shot of the day. A 71 ounce water tank, 9 ounce bean hopper paired with the Butterfly Coffee Spout ensure cup after cup of uninterrupted beverages, large or small. The LED illuminated brewing

Programmable
All buttons individually programmable: Four coffee strengths for the one-cup buttons, two coffee temperatures, three hot water output temperature, cup sizes from 0.5 oz to 8 oz for single cup coffee buttons, 0.5 to 8 oz for double cup coffee buttons (total of up to 16 oz. of coffee), 0.5 to 15 oz. for hot water button, 2 to 120 seconds for steam button.
Almost everything from brewing Temperature, Adjustable coffee strength to Cup Volume can be programmed to make your coffee just the way you like it. The two Clear Bean hopper, each can hold up to 650g, allows you to choose between two type of bean, for example one can Decaff coffee and regular, or just two different flavor of coffee bean for more variety.
More than twenty different specialities can be programmed to suit your personal taste. You can personalize up to 10 different coffee beverage with names. The machine makes popular coffees such as cappuccino or latte macchiato without needing to shift cups around.

Energy Saving Modes
Jura Impressa J5  gives you options to choose from three energy saving modes - you can choose whether you want both heating systems always to be  in stand-by for immediate use of the coffee or the steam heating block, or  you can set the machine to automatically lower either the steam heating block or both heating blocks if you don’t use it all the time. This will save energy and with just a push of  any button  the Jura Impressa J5 will “reboot”  in less than 20 seconds.
Whenever you push any button in the machine, two LED lights behind the  coffee spout will automatically turn on and illuminate your coffee preparation area, the lights will turn off automatically if the machine is not used for one minute

Active Bean Management
The Jura Impressa J5 has two Electronic bean sensor (one for each coffee hopper) -  An invisible laser beam senses & make sure to inform you to fill both coffee bean just before you run a weak coffee cup in any one of them.

Height-adjustable Coffee Spout
With Jura Impressa J5, the double coffee spout can be adjusted smoothly between 70 and 110 mm. This means it can be adapted to all commonly used cup sizes for the coffee lovers who enjoy coffee in bigger mugs.   
Intelligent Pre Brew Aroma System (I.P.B.A.S.)
The unique two step pre-infusion cycle moistens and conditions the ground coffee, which means maximum flavour extraction with perfect crema topping. With the Jura Impressa J5 you can brew one to sixteen ounce cups of coffee in five strength settings. It grinds from 5 to a maximum of 16 grams of coffee from extra mild to extra strong. The Jura Impressa J5 will automatically discard up to 16 pucks (used coffee portions) before its puck container gets full.

Ultra-Quiet Grinder – Low noise design
The Jura Impressa J5 features Jura's latest incarnation of its steel burr grinder, which boasts both an exceptionally quiet grind and a beam-monitored bean sensor. That means that the Jura Impressa J5 actually monitors the amount of beans in its bean hopper using special active beams, rather than relying on error-prone internal sensors. The Jura Impressa J5's integrated commercial grade steel conical burr grinder has six settings which allow you to adjust the fineness for all kinds of beans - from light to dark roasts.

Automatic cleaning – In built Clearly Water filter
Clearly Water filter removes chlorine, lead, aluminum and copper from your tap water for a better tasting coffee. A special organic additive removes almost all carbon and eliminates decalcifying altogether.
Any time you turn on or off the machine it will run an automatic hot water rinse cycle to ensure cleaning all vital brewing parts from coffee oils and residuals and to pre-heat the machine for you.
