Italian pioneer Achille Gaggia is known as the Father of the Modern Espresso Machine. He invented the first lever piston espresso machine in 1948, bringing a revolution in the world of espresso brewing. Even after six decades, Gaggia is still the leading brand of espresso machines. The reason for this persistent dominance is Gaggia's commitment to the quality of the products that it produces and their sustained durability.
A marvelous invention in the class of home semi-automatic espresso machines, the Gaggia Espresso Dose features a stainless steel boiler for superior steaming and brewing capabilities. It also features a dosage button, allowing you to set your preferred water volume dosage for one or two cups of espresso. The Gaggia Espresso Dose has a Pannarello frothing wand to foam and steam milk easily for cappuccino and latte lovers. Its portafilter fits into a heat retaining chrome-plated brass group head and the stainless steel cup warmer is heated with residual heat from the boiler for a great shot from start to finish. The Gaggia Espresso Dose includes three different filter baskets for single shot, double shot or pod capabilities. Its small size means that it fits in easily to different kitchens or workstations. In short, this semi-automatic espresso machine is skillfully designed to please both the budget and the taste buds of amateurs, aficionados and everyone in between.

Features
Construction The Gaggia Espresso Dose is housed in Warm Silver impact resistant ABS plastic, a durable material that wipes down easily with a damp cloth. Inside is the stainless steel boiler, which provides the necessary heat to brew and steam for a cappuccino, latte, espresso, or americano. The control panel is located on the top of the machine, and features straightforward push buttons as well as the steam valve knob to control brewing and steaming. The machine weighs 10.14 lbs; and stands 14"H x 8.3"W x 10.8"D.
Pods or Ground Option The Gaggia Espresso Dose includes 3 filter baskets – one for single shots, one for pods, and one for double shots. This way, it’s your choice whether you want to measure and tamp ground beans yourself, or use pre-packaged single serving coffee pods.
Program Water Volume To program the water volume, insert the portafilter and coffee to brew, and then press and hold the programming button. After about three seconds the pilot light will start flashing, and the water pump will start up. Coffee will begin dispensing, so once you have your desired amount, release the coffee dispensing button to stop the flow of coffee. Your water dosage is now set.
Pannarello Frothing Wand The Gaggia Espresso Dose uses a Pannarello frothing wand to create thick foam and velvety steamed milk. Press the steam button and then open the steam knob to release steam. Close the knob and press the steam button again when you’re done.
Hot Water Dispenser The Gaggia Espresso Dose’s steam wand can also be used as a hot water dispenser. Once the machine is at brewing temperature, you can open the steam knob and press the brew button to release hot water. Press the brew button again and close the steam knob to stop the flow of water.
Water Reservoir The 42 oz water reservoir of Gaggia Espresso Dose is removable from the back of the machine. To protect your brewing components from impurities found in tap water, Gaggia recommends using filtered or distilled water.
Cleaning The drip tray and cover have a water level indicator, which rises as the drip tray fills. When it becomes visible, the drip tray is filled and needs to be emptied and washed in warm, soapy water. Clean the exterior of the Gaggia Espresso Dose with a damp cloth. The seal inside of the brewing head should be cleaned, and the shower disk should be unscrewed and cleaned periodically depending upon your frequency of use.
Accessories The Gaggia Espresso Dose comes with a detailed instruction manual, portafilter, single shot basket, double shot basket, pod basket, tamper, measuring spoon, filter and warranty.
