Construction
The Gaggia Baby is constructed of tough thermo-set plastic (nearly a 1/4 inch thick). The Baby is a little bit taller than other Gaggia machines. It stands 15.5"H x 8.75"W x 9.5"D and weighs 20 lbs.

High Quality Controls with Temperature Ready Light
The Gaggia Baby contains three push button switches with indicator lights that will illuminate when on. The far left is the main power switch that activates the boiler when turned on. The middle switch is the brew switch. To start the brewing process just turn on the switch, wait until you have reached your desired volume and then turn of the switch. The far right is the steam switch. Just turn this on and the boiler will heat to steam temperature. The temperature ready light is a separate indicator that will light up while the boiler is heating up and will go off when it is ready to steam or brew, depending on which mode you are in.

Heavy Duty Portafilter and Filter Baskets 
The Gaggia Baby’s portafilter is designed like a commercial machine and works in the same way. Made of heavy marine grade brass, and covered with chrome plating, it helps maintain thermal stability in your drink preparation, which gives you the best espresso possible. The Gaggia baby uses commercial-standard 58mm filter baskets made of stainless steel.

High Performance Boiler
The Gaggia Baby’s boiler system is designed of highly conductive aluminum with two heating elements. The heating elements are imbedded into the exterior sides of the boiler, providing even heat distribution. Having the highest wattage system (1370-watt) available, incorporated into a low volume boiler (3.5 ounces) provides excellent temperature stability and will heat up quicker.

3-Way Solenoid Valve
A commercial feature, 3-way solenoid valve relieves the water pressure off the coffee when the brew switch is turned off. This serves 2 functions- it dries out the coffee to prevent dripping and makes it easy to knock the coffee out of the portafilter with one knock.

Hot Water Dispenser
To get hot water for hot Chocolate, tea or americano is very simple with the Gaggia Baby. Just turn on the pump (brew) switch and open the steam knob. Hot water will start to stream out.

Turbo Frother Steam Wand
The Gaggia Baby is outfitted with a newly designed Turbo-Frother frothing wand that ensures a great froth every time.

Water Reservoir
Its removable water tank (capacity 64oz) can be refilled from the top any time during the operation to get an uninterrupted supply of coffee.

Thermostat and Safety Switches
The Gaggia Baby has three temperature controls. There are two thermostats and one high limit. There is one thermostat for maintaining steaming temperature and the other for maintaining brewing temperature. The high limit will turn off the power to the boiler in the event of a malfunction. This will prevent the boiler from overheating.

ESE Pod Capable
The Gaggia Baby comes ready to use with pods or ground coffee. Use the single shot filter basket with Easy Serve Espresso (ESE) pods. Pods are single serve prepackaged shots, work perfectly with the exact amount of coffee and do not leave any mess to clean up afterwards.

Accessories 
The Gaggia Baby Black comes with instruction manual, two stainless steel filter baskets for making single or double shots of espresso, a baby tamper, 7 gram measuring spoon.
