Here we have the new version of this very popular espresso machine, the 830XL is an upgrade over the 820 and features an updated extraction meter and it includes both pressurized and non pressurized filter baskets.

Features
  • Construction
    The body, controls and tamping head of BES830XL are made of highest-grade aluminum and zinc. Unlike thinner pressed metals, die-cast construction molds molten metals at intense temperatures and the outcome is ultimate durability with a refined finish. The machine stands 24 W x 28 D x 32 H (cm) and weighs 25 lbs.

    Pressure Gauge
    The BES830XL features an integrated Espresso Pressure Gauge that gives you a visual indicator of the machine’s pressure levels. It helps in achieving the most favorable extraction pressure to create an ideal cup of coffee.

    Power-Save Mode
    Catering to energy conscious espresso lovers, this machine has a power save mode which will be activated if the machine is idle for one hour, and after three hours of inactivity, the machine will automatically switch off to conserve energy.

    Thermoblock Heating and Auto-Purge System
    The Thermoblock boiler system made of stainless steel maintains the water temperature at an ideal 205 degrees F during extraction. While steaming, the temperature reaches at 250 degrees F and when steaming is finished, the unique auto-purge function releases a measured amount of steam to return the temperature to the optimal level.

    Filters
    The BES830XL includes 2 sets of  filters- single shot and double shot filters in both double wall (pressurized) and single wall (traditional) and pod filters. The filters integrate Breville’s exclusive dual wall technology to produce consistently rich crema. Beneath the 333 uniformly distributed pores of the first wall is a second steel wall, with a single exit spout. This arrangement creates back pressure in the head which produces intense texture and flavor with every extraction.

    Capacity
    The 1 liter drip tray slides out for easy cleaning and neatly conceals the storage compartment at the rear of the unit. The 75 oz water tank sits on top of the storage area and produces 50 single shots of espresso before refilling.
    Custom Set Programming
    This feature allows you to extract the perfect volume of coffee just at the push of a button. Users can choose from Auto, Custom, or Manual Shot options.
    Instant Hot Water
    The machine features a separate hot water wand to dispense hot water for tea, hot chocolate or soup.

    Steam Wand
    The stainless steel steam wand produces continuous dry steam for cafe-style milk and froth. The included froth enhancer allows you to create perfect froth without moving the jug. The steam wand is mounted on a swivel ball that allows you to move the wand in any direction to obtain best angle for froth creation.

    Head Elevation
    With a full 4.5 inch clearance, BES830XL is the first machine designed to accommodate larger cups and travel mugs. It is ideal not just for espresso, but for variations like cappuccino, americano and café latte.

    Pump
    Prior to extraction, the unique 15 bar Triple-Prime™ pump automatically releases three bursts of hot water into the filter head, causing the ground coffee or espresso pod to expand. The increased pressure allows the machine to extract more crema and gives the coffee a rich, smooth taste.

    Water Reservoir and Drip Tray
    The removable 75oz water tank produces 50 single shots of espresso before refilling is required. The 1 liter drip tray slides out for easy cleaning and neatly conceals the storage compartment at the rear of the unit.
