Features
Construction
The Breville Barista Express is composed of professional grade die-cast metals. Die-cast construction molds molten metals at intense temperatures and the outcome is ultimate durability and a refined finish. The machine stands 13.25" x 11.5" x 14.5" and weighs 25 lbs.
Thermoblock Heating and Auto-Purge System
The Thermoblock boiler system made of stainless steel maintains the water temperature at an ideal 205 degrees F during extraction. While steaming, the temperature reaches at 250 degrees F and when steaming is finished, the unique auto-purge function releases a measured amount of steam to return the temperature to the optimal level.
A Powerful Pump
Prior to extraction, the unique 15 bar Triple-Prime™ pump automatically releases three bursts of hot water into the filter head, causing the ground coffee or Espresso pod to expand. The increased pressure allows the machine to extract more crema and gives the coffee a rich, smooth taste.
Bean Hopper
A tightly sealed bean hopper holds up to ½ a pound of coffee beans to brew several full pots of coffee or 20 shots of espresso.
Steam Wand
The stainless steel steam wand produces continuous dry steam for cafe-style milk and froth. The included froth enhancer allows you to create perfect froth for cappuccinos or lattes. The steam wand is mounted on a swivel ball that allows you to move the wand in any direction to obtain best angle for froth creation.
Power-Save Mode
Catering to energy conscious espresso lovers, The Breville Barista Express has a power save mode which will be activated if the machine is idle for one hour, and after three hours of inactivity, the machine will automatically switch off to conserve energy.
Dry-puck
Dry-puck feature of the Barista Express removes excess water from grinds after extraction, resulting in an easily removable "puck" for fast cleanup.
Water Reservoir
This unit features a large 67-oz. removable water reservoir with charcoal filtration to ensure great tasting coffee every time.
Accessories
The Breville Barista Express comes with a detailed instruction manual, stainless-steel frothing pitcher, 1 cup and 2 cup single and dual-wall filters, pod filter and cleaning kit.
