Increased Grind Range
The Maestro’s wide adjustable grind range makes it an incomparable and versatile grinder. Simply choose among its 18 grind settings by turning the bean hopper to the desired level.

Removable Burr
The conical burrs can be accessed by removing the bean hopper and then removing the grinding ring. Removal and replacement of the burr set takes less than ten seconds.

Innovative calibration
Like Commercial grinders, Maestro Conical Burr Grinder has a calibration system to ensure that the grinder will grind fine enough for espresso and has the range to grind coarse enough for a press pot.

Portafilter Accessible
The Baratza Maestro has a wide front opening that allows you to grind directly into any size portafilter. Combined with the front activated on demand grind button, you can operate this machine one handed, holding the portafilter under the grind chute and pressing the one touch button with your thumb.

Perfect Coffee Grounds Catcher
The coffee grounds catcher is perfectly designed so that it forms an almost airtight seal. This averts coffee dust from escaping while you are grinding coffee beans at a fine setting.

Large Bean Hopper
The Bean hopper has the capacity to store over a 1/2-pound of whole coffee beans. So there is no need to constantly refill the grinder. It will keep enough beans to brew several full pots of coffee or 20 shots of espresso. It's made of clear textured plastic so you can always check the level of coffee beans.

Static Reduction System
The experts of the Maestro have worked in every possible way to reduce static throughout the grinder. They have included an even gearing system for the motors, static eating metal surfaces, and other design tweaks.

Powerful Motor
A 240 watt DC motor is replacing the current AC motor.  The DC motor is twice as powerful as the current motor and turns slowly resulting in cool, quiet operation and permits long grinding duty-cycles.  The circuitry is equipped with an automatically resetting, thermal cutoff switch.

Special Gear Reduction
The Baratza Maestro uses a combination of gear and electronic speed reducers to slow the spinning of the burr to 450 RPM.  This slow speed reduces heat, noise, and static generation in the grinder. It also ensures that the beans feed smoothly into the burrs.
 
Quiet Grinder
Another design feature of the Maestro is the quiet performance. The designers isolated and insulated the motor area, reducing vibrations and noise where possible.

Easy to Clean
To clean the Baratza Maestro, just remove the coffee bean hopper to expose the grinding chamber which takes about five seconds. At this point the outer cutting wheel simply lifts out. You can perform a thorough cleaning to remove built up coffee grounds around the main cutting wheel and then reassemble the grinder in about 8 seconds.

Durable Construction
The grinder housing is made of impact-resistant plastic and features slip resistant rubber feet.
