Construction
The Ascaso Steel DUO Versatile comes wrapped in beautiful as well as durable brushed stainless steel finished housing. The machine measures 10 5/8" W x 13 1/2" H x 12 1/4" D and weighs 26.5 lbs.

Easy To Use Controls
This semi automatic espresso machine allows the user to extract espresso just at the push of a coffee brew button. The control panel is simple and easy to operate. Independent steam thermoblock with separate on/off power switch is located on the lower control panel and the steam activation switch is on the top right side. Independent water activation switch (lower right of top front panel) activates a separate valve for hot water through its own water pipe.

Dual Brass Boiler Heating System
The Ascaso Steel DUO Versatile includes two brass boilers to enable you to brew espresso and froth milk at the same time. The 225 ml brass boiler for coffee and hot water houses a 1200-Watt heating element to bring the machine up to brew temperature faster than any other machine with such a large boiler. The second boiler- brass thermoblock provides instant steaming/frothing capabilities on demand and at the same time of espresso extraction. This thermoblock can be set to always be on or can be switched off to save energy when milk drinks are not needed.

Commercial Size Portafilter and Filter Baskets
The DUO Versatile uses heavy-duty chrome plated brass portafilter holders and spouts. The machine comes equipped with 57 mm filter baskets to make it easier to find a quality tamper that suits your taste. You can use the same filter holder for both ground coffee and pods. The Ascaso Steel DUO Versatile includes 3 stainless steel filter baskets- separate single shot and double shot filter baskets for ground coffee and one single pod filter basket for ESE (Easy Serving Espresso) pre-packaged pods.

Temperature Gauge
To control the temperature and get the most out of your coffee, the machine is also equipped with an easy to read temperature gauge that lets the user adjust the temperature range of the coffee boiler.

3-Way Solenoid Valve
The three-way solenoid valve is a commercial feature that not only directs the flow of water from the boiler to the brew group, but also relieves the water pressure off the coffee when the brew switch is turned off. The valve dries out the used ground coffee in the portafilter immediately after the brewing is finished. So you can straight away remove the handle, easily knock the dried coffee out and reset of the machine for another shot.

Milk Frothing
Another striking feature of the DUO Versatile is its commercial grade stainless steel steam wand with milk froth-aid attachment to create loads of foam for cappuccinos with hardly any effort on your part. The machine also includes an optional three-hole milk frothing tip that helps you create café-style drinks. The steam wand is conveniently located on a swivel joint to accommodate frothing pitchers ranging from 12 oz. to 20 oz. in size.

Air Release Valve
The Ascaso Steel DUO Versatile features an air release S-2 Autoprime valve to remove air that may be suctioned up with the water from the reservoir.

Removable Water Reservoir and Drip Tray
The 2-liter water tank of DUO Versatile is removable for easy cleaning and refilling. You may refill the water tank any time during the operation or remove the tank to refill at your tap. The drip tray also slides forward for easy cleaning.

The Ascaso Steel Steel DUO Versatile comes with a detailed instruction manual, filter handle with dual spouts, 57mm single cup super-creamer basket, 57mm double cup super-creamer basket, pod filter basket, 3-hole milk frothing tip, quality dual-sided tamper (57/53mm) and a measuring scoop.
