Controls
Your coffee experience starts just at the push of a button, enabling the flow of espresso until you have the desired amount of coffee. The buttons on the control panel are durable, simple to use and logically arranged. Blue LED lights will notify you when the unit is powered up (left blue light on) and when it is at the right temperature for brewing espresso or steaming milk (right blue light on).

High Quality Brewing Group
Composed of chrome plated brass, the uniquely designed group head (the component that accepts the coffee holder) of the Ascaso Basic reduces hotspots by distributing heat evenly and distributing water across the coffee grounds, resulting in consistently brewed espressos.

Brass Boiler and 3 Thermostats
The brass boiler provides best steaming powers and quicker recycling times when brewing multiple espressos. The brass construction resists scale build up and pitting for long lasting durability. Three thermostats are built into the machine. One monitors the temperature for espresso, the other controls the temperature for steam and the third monitors the boiler to protect it from overheating.

16 BAR Water Pump
The secret behind a great espresso is the water pump that has the power to force water through the coffee grounds to extract the full flavor from the coffee. The Ascaso Basic gives you just that- rich, aromatic and flavorful coffee brewed by its powerful 16 BAR water pump.

Heavy Duty Coffee Holder and Filter Baskets
Keeping with the custom of featuring only commercial grade components, the Ascaso Basic uses heavy-duty chrome plated brass coffee holder with a rugged plastic handle. Additionally, you get single-shot and double-shot 57-mm diameter stainless steel filter baskets for ground coffee and pod basket for single dose ESE pods.

2 Liter Water Reservoir
The Ascaso Basic comes with a removable 2 liter capacity water tank to ensure uninterrupted supply of espresso. You may refill the water tank any time during the operation or remove the tank to refill at your tap.

Drip and Cup Tray, Cup Heater
Cleaning is a breeze with the removable, polished stainless steel cup tray and drip pan. The Ascaso Basic also comes equipped with a scratch-resistant cup-warming surface. Brewing espresso into a warm cup preserves the temperature of the beverage, giving you more time to enjoy its nuances and flavors.
